Pls read before your next bacon butty lol

I am kept in a cell
Too small to move
I will never run free
Or even turn round
I'll never feel sunshine
Or the cool summer breeze
This box is my life
I will never be free

I've never seen my mum
I had my tail cut at birth
Castrated a week old
And let me tell you...THAT HURT
They ignored my screams
They just carried on
If they listened they'd hear
"I WANT MY MUM"

Dear Ms SEBBY,
I tried not to quote your entire poem. It was really hard not to. This was such a refreshing write! I know you are an animal lover, and I as well. I thought it was very creative and clever to give the piggie a "voice". Sometimes we forget that God's creatures must have a voice, in their own language, and feelings as well. I never even "thought" that a pig would have those thoughts, and you brought that to "LIFE" in this pig with a human characteristc. Hell, yeah, that would hurt when castrated. Another brilliant thought to bring us back into "Nature's Classroom", and not take things, life, nature, animals, and our blessings for granted. When one thinks about what you have the piggie say, is indeed analogous to actually what a "child" would say, and long for, and that is wanting their "MUM", no matter what species. I got a lot out of this Ms SEBBY, many meanings and thought provoking for me. What was your inspiration for this, as well as why the choose a "pig"? I love it!!!!

Much Luv'...~*Painted Diary*~aka~*Kimberly*~

Ty Kim your words mean a lot to me.
In answer to your questions I wanted to write a poem about the meat trade and try and have people think about where there bacon butty comes from.
I chose a pig, 1 because it's my favourite animal and 2 because I had just seen a program on pig farming and what goes on.
It was horrible and had me in shock for most of the night, hence the poem.
