Default I met the devil. Amzy Started This Thread
It was just another day
It was the same old place
We met for coffee
I delivered the same lines
But this time they did not work.

She was different.

She was just another girl
Until she opened up and spoke
Between sips she said
My soul would soon be hers
I would surrender it with glee.

Coffee is supposed to be innocent.

She was just another demon
With horns that barely showed
We finished our coffee
She said she's not a normal damned
But the princess of darkness herself.

I believed her.

She beckoned for my hand
I was paralyzed by fear
I'd not hold hands with her
Instead I argued and reasoned
To take the hand would condemn my soul

And she was amused.

Amusement turned to impatience
She explained to me my folly
This act was innocent
An eternally binding contract
Requires more than holding hands.

And so I held her hand.

We left that safe café
And we took a stroll through Hell
I like to see the sights
We Sailed the River Styxx
And we didn't pay the boatman

She took me on quite a ride.

We swam in the river Acheron
Until Charon chased us out
It was so exciting
We played fetch with Cerberus
And tanned on the bed of Phlegethon

I had a lot of fun with her.

We spelunked the cave of Persephone
and she shared with us some pomegranate
It was delicious
I asked to see Lethe River
But she said we'd already been

The fun could last eternity.

I had a lot of fun in Hades
And Satan was a beautiful sight.
I thought I was in love
And so the Devil never stole my soul
I gave it of my own free will

Now I spend eternity in this lonely hell.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

Very very interesting...wish I had been there! Excellent form...I really like the one liners that punctuate the poem.

This was different and on the lines of the way I think sometimes.
Creative and I really liked it and enjoyed, thank you

Nightlife calls me.
Through her I am free.
It's the only way to be,
all caught up in a mystery!
Born with full moon fever,
I can make you a believer!
For I am the moonchild,
truly born to be wild!

Dear Amzy,

This is quite unique, creative, and alluring. The lines in between really pumps up the feeling of the piece. I think some of us have a poem like that in our diaries...lol....this was an awesome ride and read. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Going in my favorites and an excellent rating. Take Care.

OH, BRAVO!!! Amzy, this was so simply extreme that reading it I almost didn't realize the room that I'm in was like a blank slate that transformed into the place of each scene created by your words and the simple way you/the character gave your/his soul for that pleasure, that company without ever thinking about it and its consequences once you/he was mesmerized by that devil....

Did I say Thank you? THANK YOU!!
