If there was a god
Would he let his people suffer
Would he let their pain and anguish
Manifest onto eachother?

If there was a god
Why would he feel the need to hide
If he's so great and wonderful
Wouldn't he want his light to shine?

If there was a god
Then why would children die
And why would men with hearts of black
Do things that made them cry?

If there IS a god
Then is he feeling proud
When children cry and adults hurt
And pain lies all around?

Hey SEBBY - hope ya don't mind me calling you that - This poem has asked many questions of me that I may be a little timid answering... But I tend to agree with the statement that you've made - It just seems to me thought that perhaps "God" is judging peoples for this promiseland that is supposedly promised???

At anyrate - will not get into a theosophical debate now - But this might be an interesting topic to discuss in the General Chat area!

Thanx for sharing,
Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Very interesting topic you have touched on here. I believe we all ponder, and ask many similar questions. I haven't got an answer, however, it was nice still that you put on paper a potentually controversial topic. It sounds honest and is what you wonder, and that's what we do right?
