Parallels above a shelf,
the eyes are watching,
you hear the groin of a hungry beast,
and you know Beowulf's been conquered,
Night presses on and passes by,
adding a stench to the star-filled sky,
where would you be if there weren't heroes to see?
You'd be sailing at the bottom of the ocean,
I can't ask for you to prosper when you've built your own surroundings,
and everything you drove mad is ready to pounce,
and treat you like a meal,
Can't you feel?, past where you were taken,
the darkness hauled you in with a plot of its own,
to gnaw at your bones,
If this reality was certain,
I'd gladly pull the curtain,
If our lives were magnified,
I'd look into your eyes and say,
beautiful child,
the darkness upon you has fallen,
in my reality saving myself is hard enough,
only you can stop your pain,
no one else.
