Default Jacquii's Perspective MsJacquiiC Started This Thread

This poem is directly inspired by the below drawing Tree Good posted in the
Poetry of the Visual section: Tree's Perspective. I think the drawing has
so much natural insight into who MS TREE is - that I couldn't really comment
on the piece without having gone back to what I know best: poesy.
So please enjoy and when you get a chance - please show MS TREE some
love for her beautiful artistry.

Jacquii.

Jacquii's Perspective

A cathedral in tones of wooden structure,
natural to the core like nakedness.
So inviting, the sun warm, the water crisp,
playful laughter abounds in this piece.

Looking beneath the exterior
into the interior of the hearts secret places
lies a maze of colour as intricately delicate
as pigmy orchids bathed in rose petal
and hyacinth.

Yes that I may know such a delicate heart
structured like the greatest
of redwoods.

My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Thanx so much MS MYSTY - I think your choice of "multi-faceted" jewel does very well in describing MS TREE's drawing - I'm glad you like the poem too = Thanx for the review and the love

I love the poem - still not too sure about the picture! LOL!
"Yes that I may know such a delicate heart

These lines, I find most touching. They could be applied to almost every woman I know! Sensitive souls with steel spines - the way a woman has to be, just to survive.
Fantastic poem and thank you again for such a great compliment on the drawing!

Ms. J...this piece certainly describes the painting down to the last smudge! You have put into words the feelings I see when I looked at it...Tree's Perspective is indeed a self-revelation, in art as well as in words...your words. You have paid high homage to this wonderful, colorful and soul-baring piece of Ms. Tree. Lovely!

Dear Ms Jacquii,

OK...I am back...lol....Truly a brilliant scribe to compliment a brilliant painting. That word "cathedral" is just so fitting, I must have read that word ten times before moving on in your poem. That word is the perfect fit indeed. Yes you have scribed the painted diary if you will, of your own perception of your soul's window as well as embrace, encompass, absorb, and define in masterful words all that represents Ms Tree. I am in awe of the painting and your painting of words. I can "feel" your fluid inspiration poured into your poem, just as I can "feel" the unique prismatic kaleidescope that Ms Tree presents to us as her perspective. Both pieces are a mesmerizing magical meandering of one's self, and just amazing. This duo made me feel warm inside to witness and know that this community shares that kind of love as well. Perhaps in another challenge we can display one of Ms Jolie's or Ms mariahenriques' fantabulous paintings and ask members to scribe a perspective based on their work. I love it! Members inspiring members...how awesome is that?

p.s. You said it was spontaneous... Well I think you found your muse. Hats off to both of you.

Kim
