Default Judge Kit Carson Started This Thread
I saunter into this big room
Bigger than life
With all its legends…
I catch a feeling
Of gloom
~
I briefly enter the lives
Of several people…
People that I don’t know…
But I might change their lives
Do I have a right to be God?

--- what an intriguing write - A question that we each have pondered - no doubt there are those who CAN be judges - doesn't make it right though, as I've witnessed some horribly unjust people in black robes. Yes - may be a literal take on your poem - but a true one.

I do wonder what inspires this write. Is there any truth to that 1st stanza AND how did you come about answering the last question?

Interesting write = Thanx for the sharing

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

It's hard not to catch that gloom when we stand in presence of legends. Do you have the right to ask such questions when we're lucky to qualify ourselves as angels.

Nothing more than a seventeen year old's imagination and wondering about how it feels, more so in death penalty cases. I well imagine that even the best must fight doubt or be completely without it as the top surgen must be.
