Default Lost Boy zaac Started This Thread
v1
Lost boy runnin' in a hurricane.
It burns like fire
and it smells like rain again.
He lies awake wonderin'
in the dead of night;
Can't they see
that somethin' just ain't right

Bridge
Do they see the tears
flowin' deep behind steel eyes,
or hear his silent cries;
his silent cries?

Chorus
Do they know what it's like
to hide the pain
of ice flowin' through your veins;
when do or die is all the same?

Do they know how it feels
to live your life
never knowing why
you still stand up and fight?

v2
Lost boy lookin
at his empty soul.
He prayed for heaven
but he still feels like hell.
Lost boy wonderin'
why his heart's so cold.
Is there any mercy
for the wounded soul?

Bridge
Did they see his heart
breaking when he realized
that he couldn't fly;
he couldn't fly.

chorus
Do they know what it's like
to hide the pain
of ice flowin through your veins;
when do or die is all the same?

Do they know what it's like
to play a cruel game;
still caught in a hurricane
with no one left to take the blame?
Still lost in a hurricane.

I liked this chorus the best zaac,
it a very good poem, keeps a persons attention,
and has allot of meaning,
also the inference of his pain,
was good pain was oosing outta this one

Zaac…I love this song! Even though I can’t hear the melody I can still hear it…if that makes any sense…it has an intrinsic melody to it I think…a deep keening cry from the soul…an appeal from the bowels of the belly, if you will…wonderful write!

Dear Zaac,

I see and feel the longing, the struggle, the wanting, the tears, the fight, the pain, the repeat pain if you will, and the echo of a cry from a boy, who's lost. Perhaps even lost some faith along the way due to trails and tribulations, and is a natural human reaction. Windows to his soul's view seems incomplete. By the same token, I see a lost boy's faith so strong that he hangs on. Though a hurricane has been built, there is an eye of calm, and that is the place he strives to be. He just wants peace. I loved it! There still is hope in this, and that is the message also. Thanks for the read Zaac.

PD,

have been going back through stuff i did. seems i've not written much appreciable if at all for a long long time. but life must happen in order to have something to write about and for some time life has been happening in 3d. i was re-reading this piece and your last comment to it. It has taken me 3 years to shake off the damage, and right now am kind of assessing where my music and material was as opposed to where its going. I am not the same person i was by any stretch, so my perspective is changing. What caught me about your reply was its accuracy. No one could have read me better. But life is not about where you were but about were you are and where you are going.
I have a lot of stuff brewing, but it isnt coagulated enough to do anything with. Funny things about God. When you lose your faith, He gives it back. When you lose your hope, he becomes it. And where I was lost and now am found, the light is blinding but i cant look away again. Have been looking for the words to tie what was and what is and the struggle for peace in between

thank you for this reply. it helps me put things in perspective. I have really missed you. Have tried to find out if you were ok a few times, but kinda got stonewalled. At any rate, I pray things are calming down for you and your path is made straight.
