The Following Text Is Quoted:
Found poetry is a type of poetry created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them as poetry by making changes in spacing and/or lines (and consequently meaning), or by altering the text by additions and/or deletions.

I "found" this poem from a poet, my friend & client Erik Estabrook via his website ErikEstabrook.com - Erik's Poetry Showcase -- The words are from the first section of poems listed. As of 10/20/2011 4:20 PM - this section is unfinished, a few more poems w/links still needing to be added... "Lost Prophet" (the abstract poem) is taken from the unlinked titles...

Anyway - without saying too much - The poem eerily makes for an interesting read I think...

More about Found Poetry can be seen at Jacquii's Poetry in Color Forum - Found Poem -- Hope you enjoy this piece: "Lost Prophet"

Lost Prophet

Lost prophet
so much for surrealism,
for peace. Glad to know you,
a new view. I've not yet
begun to write to the world,
the line of fire,
seeing blind.

Rewind.

Freedom is the 5 skies, frustration
cycling through. Hows the view
now?

Moses with a staff. The
amber tree a lifetime sacred.
Into your reality, "Hello
disaster."

Night poem out of shadows.
The stone woman retreating from life,
prone to silence: March
of the slaying tongue.

Who needs the sun?

Perfection.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---
