i'd like to take the time to be the center of attention
but let me not put thought in what i say...
let my actions be impulsive...
let my words be demeaning..
let everything about me express dismay...
if you say you dont discriminate in any way...
i'd like to point out the fact that we all, in one way or another..
judge our selves.... till our end....
and that's no praise or compliment from me...
i only mention that point to identify with you....
and if that's the only way we can relate..
if that's the only way we are connected....
then i say that we all survive on our own instincts.....
and judgement is just our God given part of life....
so in amongst all those naysayers and pointmakers... of which i can be included...
religion is just a way to deny the God in us....
lets demean...
let us belittle...
we want control....
but please... we're not responsible...
oh give me a fucking break....
you have to stand like a man and take the blunt of your actions....
cause now we're headed... down to hell...
a hell that has no mercy...
because according to our beliefs, we have no identity....
~*~suck me into your happyness, your bliss....
let me find myself lost in your spirit~*~

Wow PHIL - there's such bitterness in this poem. Something I can relate to, especially having been the brunt of such treachery in the past 6 years or so.... I have a favorite saying from a poem I wrote years ago... I didn't know how important the saying would become to me - It's a mantra of sorts:

"I can't hold a grudge. Grudges rot hearts."

Anyway - interesting write. What on earth inspired it? OR What on other-than-earth inspired it?

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

ah well the inspiration for this came from the universal voice of contridiction... the forces that lead us to divide and segrigate and put belittling social classes on the general population... mostly stemming from the experiences i've had from the majority of the unthinking... those who think they've got it worse then everybody else... and therefore choose to sit around and mope.. .and the for the ones who implanted that lonliness in those people by neglect... and cycle that insues and grows into a never ending generational curse that will not be broken... unless a big part of our society choose to stand togther for what its right....

well there you have it miss j.... you have heard this truth before... as all of us have.. but untill we are brought to the lowest of lows.. and in need of help... only then can we really relate to what its like to be without....
and that's where we need to start
