More Words Rhyme With Love
by L. E. Evenston.

Why so much angst and despair?
Why so many dark words to compair
your life to the rest of the world?

Rhyme was destroyed in the poetic form
because 'crimson' didn't have one to express the storm
that 16 year olds think they were caught in.

Everything now is vampires and blood
followed by tears that flood
and dark skies above their beds.

I'll still write about butterflies or summers,
and sonnets about smiles in greater numbers.
More words rhyme with love, anyway.

I was reading through my old highschool's literary magazines and realized that only one or two poems were any good in any of them. (expcept for one where I sumbitted four, then there were at least four that were good, because I'm conceited like that) then I went on myspace (which is the work of the devil) and read some poems my friend had in her blog and realized they all sucked too. So I wrote this.

The end.
Its not worth it if it needs explainin'

this certainly ended so sunny,
and I have to agre ewith you people want to write horror
but they only know angst,
they want to write pain,
whilst they sit safely and securely,

and I do like the uplifting kind so much better

I remember 16 and how dramatic life was back then! Angst is a poor word for those feelings. Brianna, the one favor I did for my daughters were to give them the mother's curse! May you have children twice as bad as you ever thought about being! My daughter has said, "Thank you, Mom!" several times. I don't think she was happy though, lol.

What goes around come around. It's great that teenagers grow up, go out on their own and realize what angst is really about, lol.
hugs,
Gail
