Soaking in the atmosphere
Of alchemical omission,
Elusion of crisis slips into wisdom.
Succulent hypnosis
Placating shudder.
The lustful insurgence of empirical mutter.

Liquid pictures ripple over the prints,
Glistening fresh reflections of chaos.
Laughing between sobs
Under the grimacing buildings
Of stern architects.

Visions of a bleeding sky
Are covered
With the newest chaotic structures.
Erected in stylish demeanor
To be buried
With the dead skin
Of an over exposed face.
Their appearance,
Becoming nothing more
Than stale monuments
Blocking an addiction to madness.

Forever building
Subjective portraits of existence
Only to lounge around them
With admiration.
Festering into yearning
And finally,
Rotting into skeletons of trust.

Coiling.
Wrapping around the newest fruit
As if it was a transfusion with god’s fluid.
Leading through the veins
And busting out of the skin
Like a child’s conception.

So,
Suckling juice from the newest fruit,
It is suddenly exacted
That every piece
Is from the same-old, flimsy, basket.

Unfortunately,
It’s too late for TV dinners.
Only fresh fruit from the same basket.
Or the fibrous meat exhumed from caskets.
The excrement sculpted with phonetics
And the racking nonsense of structural elegance.

Unsatisfied.

Orbiting through different types of mirrors.
Reflecting reflections of reflections.

A salty pillar counting seconds;
Choking on periodic smirks.

Exhaling contentment
And wailing for chaotic stability,
In the continuous flush
Of self indulgence…

[so this is a pretty disturbing piece i guess. but i do value it so, i'd like to give it a shot at being published. it refers to the compulsive ignorance that seems to have spread in order to keep society docile and meanwhile, the struggle to find a justifiable model to keep one balanced.]

There's a lot of intriguing imagery in this piece, it's such an abstract reflection. I like your style here. A lot. I love the way this reads, you are slick with your word combinations: lustful insurgence of empirical mutter, fresh reflections of chaos, stale monuments & skeletons of trust being only a few that stood out to me. Such a bold commentary/interpretation on the state of things.

This would be a wonderful piece to record.... You mentioned publishing though, have you submitted it anywhere?

Anyway - thanks for the share dude!

Jacquii.

thanks jacquii. i appreciate the comments. i haven't researched publishing enough i guess. the first thing i did was look for a place to start posting things so, i came here. i saw a "final edit" on here where you said "i'll send it off..." so, i thought i could just go through "the process" and submit things for publishing(my laziness). i didn't look at the date of anything (because of stupidity and laziness). after that i found out that things posted on a site lose a lot of their value for publishing because they're already out there to read.

so there's only a couple i wish i hadn't "turned out"(so that i could submit them publication) but, i'll just create new pieces for publication purposes. and i have some otherns in reserve.

---------- Post added at 02:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:25 AM ----------

but, thank you is the main point i was trying to make.

Well Jake. It really depends on the publisher as far as what they consider "published" - some consider a work published even if it's been posted on a small online community like JPiC, while others don't, and only consider a work published if it's printed in another print venue... We have a few members here at JPiC who've requested their work here be hidden from public view, because they've gotten the work published in a forthcoming book of poetry. And I'm more than happy to oblige.

There's quite a few informative articles on publishing in our article depository - so check 'em out JPiC Forum Literary Articles Database --- There's also quite a few poetry markets posted at Writers Needed - Poetry in Color Forum and Contests - Poetry in Color Forum

If you have any questions about publishing - feel free to post them in our general chat section - whatever the case may be = keep us apprised of your publication endeavors - especially when you get your poetry published. Publishing is an exciting thing!
