~PENCILIS~

When dark clouds
of depression block out
the sun of elation,
I just call on Pencilis the
yellow savior, the graphite
god of all inspiration.

I prefer god Pencilis to
goddess Inkress because when
my muse decides to pull
catch twenty two's,
irrationally scattering verbs

and adjectives all over the
blank pages of a history in the
works, I can call on him and he
can make her mumbo jumbo
disappear with one scratch of his head.

When I start to drift
to the dark losing faith in
myself and him he, as smooth as
silk, glides his point across
the waves of my thoughts, across
the canvas of my soul sparking
insight, leading me back to the light.

Pencilis has a number for
every power he possesses but
power number two, his power of
expression is used by far the most
and with this mighty power

of expression he sometimes
channels into my muse and leads
my hand across the papyrus of
time to spread whispering
words of his lead language
of love which I so happily follow.

Nightlife calls me.
Through her I am free.
It's the only way to be,
all caught up in a mystery!
Born with full moon fever,
I can make you a believer!
For I am the moonchild,
truly born to be wild!

Hey now Moonchild,

I like this a lot. It's very entertaining and thought provoking. I like the use of alliteration nicely placed here and there - and it has flow......... Who woulda thunk this of a pencil? Nice write

Moonchild...this is a very humorous and nifty "humanizing" of the pencil...pretty cool piece of poetry! Did you draw the wizard?

Thank you Nomad.
No I wish I drew him though, wish I could draw.
I used him cause he looks like a pencil, doesn't he?
Glad you liked and enjoyed!

Moonchild....... WOW awesome writing .... very new and unique. I love this piece. It should be on a poster somewhere hon. I only found one stanza that needs a bit of grammar changes.... if I may be so bold.

The Following Text Is Quoted:
When I start to drift
to the dark loosing faith in
myself and him, he as smooth as
silk glides his point across
the waves of my thoughts, across
the canvas of my soul sparking
insight, leading me back to the light.
loosing should be losing and in he comma here as smooth as silk comma here then the rest is fine but oh my god this is REALLY GOOD!!! Thank you for an Awesome Read.
