Default Rage- I am the machine erikestabrook Started This Thread
What can you recall?
I can count you one and all,
You can stand alone in truth,
but I can bend in my reign,
delete me, never so,
get rid of me, never so,

You can't take from me,
I stand above you with certainty,
a divine calculation, inspiration,
be the blood and the good,
all sold on ideals,
My truth is my lie in your destiny,
not believed but revealed,

Rage- I am the machine,
well-suited, unfit for your conquering,

Your a page marked extinct,
I'll erase you with one blink,
control absolute, above all dispute,
I am one and all, no Gods will come,
your loved will fall,

Rage- I am the machine,
instinct and logic rule me,
You cannot see but I do,
I see clearer than you.

Dear Erik,

Very strong in voice, message, and presence!!!! It resounded here in West Chester! LOL Awesome piece of poetry here! What was your inspiration? The band? I like the repetitiveness of the line---->Rage- I am the machine, as it added strength, and power. Your catalyst is definitely power, and conquer. Who or what are you conquering or is this rhetorical? I am almost speechless Erik, and it is WICKED!!!! You once again raised the bar! Loved It!!

Oh Good God! This poem is ENTHUSIASTIC lol - That's the word that comes to mind actually - but the image that comes to mind is when I was screwed over 4 ways from Sabbath just the other day. And I swear it's not my fault - I need glasses - I wonder if people of JPiC will take up a collection so I can see clearly!

Thanx for the poem ERIK

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---
