Release

Cracked is a heart
pouring open sands of encased tears
rotting flesh reflects a mesa
wind chimes sound of loneliness

Bittersweet dances from every cell
past lives release burdens
tomorrow I will reincarnate

a smile

Awwww thanks Mysty for taking time to read and comment. I am very grateful. I really don't quite know what my inspiration was for this one yet..lol...however, I smiled at the end. When you have time, I have another short poem in spiritual called Silent Grace, that I would love for you to read. Thank you so much again Mysty. I really did not want the poems to go in the "unread" pile...

ahhhh yes, Kimberly, a beautiful thought wrapped up in your poetic words.
To me, this describes the "wanting" to let go of something painful and be able to move on.

Those lines are why I thought that this is just about "wanting". It's always easier to say tomorrow isn't it? And like the well known phrase... "Tomorrow never comes". How very poignant.

Thank you so much Jonathan and SuzyQ for taking time to read and comment on my lil poem. I appreciate the comments and poetic love. I have not written any poetry in a while, and truly miss writing. Just wishing for more poetry pleasure time in my life. Don't we all. Thank you.
