everything fades,
fate even seems to get crushed by the wind,
are you my lover? or an intoxication of seraphim?

every sea breathes differently,
my ocean is polluted by your tears,
they sang of unpure reasons,
but still it didn't cease,

lest I ask, did you and I exist in the past,
are we're you just a glimpse I could never catch,

Are you my lover? or an intoxication of seraphim?
do you fade beneath your smile?
no my lover, we won't have our day,
you've already taken too much of my love away.

"Run Away Lover," Actually I had one of those. It's an illusion of love you could have done without; my favorite part in this poem is the two lines in the end. Truer words have never been spoken.

My greatest masterpiece is still under construction, but I am in no hurry, I’m just enjoying the journey:

ERIK - another wonderful poem - I think this poem is simply magnificent - The title actually melds to the subject matter so perfectly IMO - Definitely a subject matter that I can relate to.... I looked at my own Mama the other day - and I just stared, simply thinking "Who are you?"

The world I live in is blase like that I suppose... But imagining looking at my Lover and asking the same question - or HAVING to ask that question - Just wow! And of course I have asked - Crazy what your poem evokes in me - As if you're sitting there staring into a crystal ball, looking at my life - This is how much I can relate to your poem. I suppose that's a different story entirely though....

Then your last two lines makes that THOOMB sound like when someone gets a high-dollar case on Deal or No Deal... But it's so depressing to think that way... I WILL NOT think that way! But in your poem it just works... and works wonderfully.

Great piece of writing, even though I'm a fan of happy endings!
Thanx for the sharing

Jacquii.

I was just trying for a fitting ending I'm glad you won't think that way,
really in this world you have to be open to anything rather than drownding in everything

WOW.
again with the amazing romantic poems
haha. you need to find someone to share them with (if you don't already have one
But, sadly, many times, the best love poems are the sad ones :'(
Anyway, LOVED the ending, and i LOVED the use of the word Seraphim.

BRAVO!

Erik,

This was magnificent! The emotion of love can be so many things and I love your representation in this poem. I too loved the word Seraphim in this piece...gave much depth. Though the ending was amazing....the stanza that spoke to me was the one I highlighted. That line....every sea breathes differently is just brilliant in my opinion. Amazing write Erik!

thanks Kim,
well that line was to give some umph to the message,
and the use of seraphim just seemed to fit right
