The Scriptwriter

One bottle half empty
of malachite tears
shards of glass potpourri
she was once there
long ago paints like now
new sand of mirrors
mistakes play on piano
she is still there
regrets plucked by
Eagle talons
she wrote the script
long ago
open the curtain
once more
and she is
center stage

Never, Never____ Stop Painting Your Diary!!

Thank you so much everyone for taking precious time to read and to comment. Kaya and Mysty thank you so much. My new work is really interesting Mysty because I am not looking, I am just writing. Even though it is or does not feel controlled and I don't know how I feel about that yet, my words come freely, and I refuse to go back and change anything. Thank you so much. Love Ya!

Nice - it's an eyeopening stanza MS KIM - I like the way you actually "fit" a timeline of sorts into the poem AND in so many few lines - Not a word wasted here - And the theme is perfection really - Epitomizes a scriptwriter very well actually - Perhaps even one who knows the rags-to-riches story - Seems like the narrator/character was down-and-out or some such - and through talent - doors are opened and BAM! Center Stage!

A very nice write MS KIM - I can see why MC would publish!
Congrats and thanx for the brilliant share

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---
