Religion got you down?
Do you have herpes simplex God?
Boy do we have ordinary news for you.
Here at Inspiration Whores Anonymous
You will be encouraged in a stabilized environment
By our passable team of pill bottles and cubicles,
To not only find a tolerable 9 to 5 career,
But also be fitted for a used tedium helmet,
Complete with gray finish, Paxel drip, and unchangeable Kenny G soundtrack.
And if you act within the next 30 years we will include an extra predictable dvd
Entitled, “Instructional dvd on how to play digital video discs”.
So drive at normal speed to our concrete colored building at 123 4th street
And expect to be treated like you expected, at IWA.

Hi Jake

This piece is crazy-funny. I'm not sure if this was a spontaneously quick write - or one that took a bit of time to piece together, but it flows so effortlessly, a biting study in wit LOL = Ordinary news for God? Ha! Imagine it.

That's my favorite line. Never heard of the concept: tedium helmet. It doesn't sound fun indeed lol

Thanks for the share and the laugh!

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Whats good jake? You really went in on this piece. It has a hint of humor mix with seriousness that really made this a good read. Keep dropping the poetic heat. Peace
