Tavern

The air is thick tonight
Laced with the lines of lung cancer
Embracing us as we splutter
And blame eachother.
The faithful drunks cling to themselves
And declare slurred love to all
Before panicing and striking out
With their hazy eyes and blotched rage.
And she’s bravely singing
‘Don’t look back in anger’
As the punches fly.

Default Re: Tavern
This reads as a song. It's like a cross between the Pogues and Carter USM.

PS. It sounds like a proper pub to me, instead of the fancy wine bars we seem to be invaded by.
