Awake in a dream
Following yourself
through a journey of sins
Mess after mess
You begin to wonder what
is right anymore
One day you are happy
everything is getting better for you
and finally you have the little
things balanced out
Sooner than later you end up in
the same place though
And yes we all know this place
All of our personal stress
mistakes
sadness
cold and blackness
But you caused most of it
So wipe those tears from your eyes
No one feels sorry for you anymore
And no one wants to remember
Except for you
Its hard to let go
I know its hard to forget what made
you the way you are
But some things are not meant to be
remembered and bring bitterness

Dear Lee-Ann,

I saw allot of messages in this as this was wonderful and really spoke to me. I saw the little boy who cried wolf, I saw sadness, bitterness, regret, some hope, pain, arms wrapping around you, heartache, and many more emotions. Some things are better left archived in our memory and heart, and we can revisit that file when it is time to. Others may stay there for a long time. Other issues have to be addressed just to be able to face tomorrow. Many many things I felt and held in and to see it in a poem was soothing to me. Thank you for sharing.

the same torment that has been following me for awhile... is captured in your words....
although i must add.. i dont know who to place the blame on... everything in life that i have been hit with has come to me with no warning, from anything everything and everyone that i love like or hate... the past couple years i worked at seperating myself from those people... and the more i do .. it feels like i'm running away from the world....

i dont know what else to say but that you have me wanting to know a little bit about you....

Loved the whole poem! But really like this stanza:

Gosh the second poem i read from you and it's also all truth. It's like the sad reality we all have to face but run away from it because we know it's so painful... It must've happened to you too for you to write something like this. Sorry bout that... it's really an annoyance =(

Hey Aumakua, I am glad you like my poetry
I hear that often from people. I think one person said I told the life of him in one sentence or something :O I forget now that was on an old site I don't go to now. But yeah, I am writing about my feelings most of the time, not always but ussually. Thanks for reading and commenting
