Default Tragic Beauty. NeyNey Started This Thread
An older piece of mine.

Everclear sprinkles fall along Porcelain Mountains
Each crystal uniting with his brother in the struggle for freedom
Soon an army of millions melts into the awaiting hands...
She is crying....

A tragic beauty has gathered her soul and pushes forward
Passers glance from beneath their digital goggles as she walks
A phone rings...She cries...An alarm sounds...she cries
Her bare feet burn against the concrete grass and she pushes forward
They watch her hair dance with the freedom they dream of
They look away, for to look into her eyes is to look into pain itself
Blood trickles down her clenched fist as the daisy inside cuts her
He loves me...He loves me not.
Tied eternally to a love that she cannot control and she does not understand
The wind gathers her dress as it passes and she almost disappears with the breeze
Her blonde hair conceals her tiny smile and she pushes forward
She is not naive and knows she cannot fly away from this
But to dream of such an escape is beyond the call of temptation
The statuesque prisons shadow her as convicts of society enter and leave
She does not glance at the buildings.... nor at the people that come and go
The sun before her whispers it’s evening goodbye and then is gone
She is at the edge...Her feet step onto the satin lined grass and sigh
She drops her soul and falls to lay beside it, as the stars above welcome her
Her voice flies solo to begin counting the constellation
Her toes bury themselves into the earth as she sinks into the blanket of grass
In this place she is content.... In this place she is home.
She closes her eyes and still sees every star that sits in the sky
Here she will rest...
Until morning....
When she must return....
To Reality...

This is so beautiful. Very lovely imagery and I especially love the ending. Good job.

Wow NeyNey!!! There are many emotions painted on this piece. Quite lovely. I could identify with many lines in this. You placed me there. I was her. This was my first read tonight, and you have set the mood. Thank you for sharing this brilliant piece with us.

this work was clever it had so much weaved into it fabric of poetical knowledge, I felt through this that it was fun to read because it was very hard to understand in agood way though i feel like that was your intention,
there was its meaning in basic, and also its meaning that had to be imagined to come true you had to read into it more,

i liked this thoroughly
