You can log onto the Internet any day, at any time, to talk with fellow writers, locate writing resources or just have some fun. Use our annual list to find Web sites worthy of your time and attention.

You're not looking for a date—just tips on writing, jobs for writers or perhaps writers with whom you can commiserate and celebrate. Finding these writing resources can be just as frustrating as looking for Mr. or Ms. Right. So we've weeded through the options and found some great writing sites worth your time and attention. Here's our eighth annual listing of the 101 best Web sites for writers: WritersDigest.com - The 101 Best Web sites for Writers

What do you think of our choices? After you check them out, send your comments and nominations for next year's list to writersdig@fwpubs.com with "101 Best Web sites" as the subject.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Hey KIM - your post actually inspired me to nominate as well LOL
I actually posted this thread back in February **GASP** and never even nominated - So hopefully this will inspire other Members to nominate as well. I was uber-excited about my nomination so I will share it - Hope it wasn't toooooo over-the-top LOL

The Following Text Is Quoted:
Hello -

I am writing to nominate JPiC Forum For Writers (http://JPiCForum.info) as THE BEST website for Writers And Poets on the entire internet! JPiC Forum is a non-censoring message board for artists to share in the joy of creating literature. Our Community is made up of phenomenally talented artists from over 11 countries and in fact was started just about one year ago - We will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in June of 2007.

We have a hugely diverse Membership. The Community boasts over 17,000 quality posts. We have sections for music, cinema & literature reviews; Sub-forums includes a Writers Resource section for literary contests, a section that features visual artistry, a Shades of Fiction section that features short-stories and longer literary works and a host of other sections.

One section in particular that I'm extremely proud of is our Poetry-Defined sub-forum. The section houses our Creativity Outlet that features weekly writing challenges/exercises for our Members to participate in. We challenge our Members to spark their creativity by sharing their works - The section has been extremely successful to that end. We also have a huge database of poetic forms with examples of the different poetry types. Most recently we've opened our sister-site Poetry-Defined.com which will eventually include an AWESOME database of poetry forms with definitive samples of our Members' poetry. And with the "ribbon-cutting" for the Poetry-Defined.com grand opening we've began calls for submissions for JPiC Members.

JPiC Forum has become a labor of love for me and I am excited about this nomination - as I'm sure you can tell... We have an awesome Moderating Team to help make sure things run smoothely around the clock. And as the Webmistress Administrator of the Forum - I invite you to come see the great diversity and Community atmosphere that we have created!

The web address is http://JPiCForum.info

Cordially,

Jacquii Cooke

OMGosh KIM - after a very interesting night of "parlaying" and being LOUD lol --- So happy you agree with my post. GIRL it's been a bit of craziness around here - even composed a poem about it: http://jpicforum.info/miscellaneous/...html#post18875 ------ no self-glorifications of course - but it was an evil muse

Jacquii.
