Default "Things My Mother Taught Me" Writing Contest (Dec. 31, 2007 Deadline) MsJacquiiC Started This Thread


We are sponsoring a contest for the best submissions. Prizes, in addition to publication in the book, are as follows:
  • First Prize: $500
  • Second Prize: $250
  • Third Prize: $100
  • Fourth Prize: $50
  • Fifth Prize: $50
  • Poetry First Prize: $100
  • Poetry Second Prize: $50
  • Contest deadline: December 31, 2007
  • Winners announced: Tentatively February 29, 2008


Some submission guidelines:
  • Length: maximum 3,000 words

  • Content: Life's lessons learned from one's mother, regarding values, ethics, relationships. Should be generally positive, but may explore areas of disagreement or conflict with one's mother.

  • To submit your entry, click Entry Submission link and choose an option

  • Please register your name, address, phone, and e-mail if you want your work considered for publication in the book.
