Chapter 3

As the moonlight radiates through the tops of trees casting eerie shadows on the lighthouse as the beacon searches out into the darkness. The luminous moonbeams brightens the lavender lilacs throwing their shadows on the walls of the lighthouse walls. Through the evening it is clearly heard, as if through enchanted seas, Footsteps quietly passing as though a spirit is approaching from an infinite distance away. Then suddenly he materializes in front of her, behind the lids of her closed eyes. Closing off any other sights, and sounds, except for the memories of the nights they embraced. In another world and another time. The incandescent moonlight is turning the purple lilacs a pale blue and as the moonlit leaves, and the fountain worn and old, And as the boughs of elms grow green. Their footsteps echo upon the gleaming cobblestones, The fallen leaves are stirred into a pile of muted tones. Waking abruptly she says to herself “ Your not really here with me now”

You are in that space, somewhere between my "reality" and yours ". Yet I can feel your presence, the feel of you washing over me I can feel your touch, tender yet strong; Your gaze never leaving mine as a smile slowly forms upon my lips. Slow like the rising of the sun, beautiful in its intensity I do not look away
I can hear you whispering my name, it echoes through the caverns of my heart. You speaks to me and I can see his words float to me; they land lightly in my palms as he reaches out and wraps his arms around her. Her need for him, her desire burns deep within her as they melt into each other

A misty fog rises up from the ocean to dim the stars. Some where in the distance she hears the sounds of music playing soft echos of horns, and the beating of cymbals and drums; the grass and sand are covered with rose petals. The music plays softly throughout the night, then slowly turns silent. Memories, that they loved each other long ago. She slowly moves with the cool breeze like the tides ebb and flow. Her eyes closed, and she smiles, Her silky lustrous blonde hair flows upon the slight breeze.. In silent moonlight, his ghost is holding her close
In her sleeping reality she tells him “ I love you’ more then the world well ever know. She can tell him anything, everything and nothing he would know each of her meanings without question and she accept everything that he gives you. In her waking reality she talks to him but it is of little consequence.

She doesn’t dig any deeper than she already has. She doesn’t explore the unexplored, afraid of what she might find. Life has gotten in her way, other people, other things. They try to connect but they always miss the mark. But in her sleep he fills her dreams, He is the one, the only one.

As time slips by he remains forever in her heart, her only true love. Some time has passed since you have pasted and I gave tried to love another, to be who I’’m not, live a life that doesn’t belong to me. for all those years You were my life, you are my future. Now no one will have me. No other will hold me. I’ll not love again till I am with you once more. I’m yours as you are mine. Some where between midnight and dawn our breath Intertwines like the moon and the sun marrying the feel of her flesh and the warmth of his arms. As she walks barefoot in the cool sand she waits for him. Alone in the dark dressed in a sparkling white gown of stars and moonlight while you awaken on your side of the ocean just to kiss her lips and watch her open your eyes. Wishing to see the one she was dreaming of.

Ghostly shadows are cast from the lighthouse and drenches lilac trees. They walked in silence, the beacon flings their shadows upon the rocky cliff side A silence is softly cast over her thoughts as she walk slowly, quietly then pause briefly, talking, of trivial things; of life and death, Time, and forgetfulness, and truth; Lilacs and togetherness and youth. She softly laughs, then hears a breath taken, She close her eyes and turns her head slightly. He whispers,"Tonight, you"ll will remember this as you fall asleep, Your dream will suddenly blossom with sensual delight, Goodnight! My darling "giving her a soft kiss Getting up from the sandy beach in the cool damp night . As the leaves of the lilac dip and sway; Their purple spiked blooms, Nod their sweet approval upon her, then lifting again, His moonlit face turns and leaves, as silence descends, She is left standing in the moonlight under the dripping dew from the eaves, and jeweled points of leaves of the lilac tree.

Dear Bear:
Like sands through an hourglass these are the days of their lives. How splendid this story has become. I can tell you enjoy "lilacs" very much. Their strong aroma is wonderful, They set very well with a love story. Since lilacs are so beautiful and sensual.

Dear Bear,

Definitely a chapter to message the affective domain of the brain! Beautiful selection of words, meticulously placed, to add richness, depth...simply comes ALIVE! One cannot deny the amazing fragrance of lilacs, and works well with the story. The way she really BELIEVES he is there, and how she can feel him, and talk to him....is outstanding and makes me BELIEVE it also. I also the love the soft undertone of sensuality in this piece, so subtle and romantic. A great love never dies is my summation for this chapter. An excellent rating!
