Step out of the ash and into the sky,

rise, like the coming sun, rise

remove all the masks, bullshit and lies,

rise, like the coming sun rise,

you'll be a new being from your head to your feet,

the disater of our nature will be defeated,

climb, like the soaring sun in the clouds, climb,

stand there in the break of day, a monument\

from far off shores they point at

the second sun in our new sky.

Hey Erik, how are you? I'm not sure I understand this piece... what's the background?

I don't get it either E... Seems like too much going on which is incredibly difficult to so in such a short poem - but you did it LOL.

The lines I quoted above are confusing. Because there's "you" then all of a sudden there's "our" -- Perhaps this is a shotgun wedding poem where the bride is not incredibly sad at the prospect of being forced into such...? IDK - I'm lost.

Then the last line about "second sun in our new sky" -- perhaps this is a freeky menage a trois relationship of some sort. But then again - it's in spiritual poems. IDK - I'm lost.

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---
