Peace, one and all...

Standing At Your Door

Standing at the library door,
waiting intently
for the gates of human experience
to be thrown open.
The sun rises slowly
over the redbrick stone
of Victorian fortitude.
In the end,
all things dissolve into each other
and so this momentary pause
is transformed
into a blessed waiting at Your gate.
Since heaven is a door
into the light of the sky,
the wooden door into this redbrick library
is metamorphosed into a light-kissed portal
into the chamber of Your Presence.
Who would have thought
that my Beloved’s inner sanctum
stood so close at hand?
