Your dark eyes of mistery,
lead me along on the road,
The screaming words of sanity,
cant hold me loud,
I must follow.

The shadow along the street,
Painted the path black,
I'm walking with my bare feet,
and I cannot go back,
I cannot my make my feet slow down.

They say your eyes turn black in the light,
Under the city lights you ran with a follower,
The blue in your eyes, it was so bright,
No sign of a black color.

Forever eyes,
Dark and heavy,
Tears running down,
and feet not steady,
Forever eyes,
my guide could be, maybe,
your lashes were their crown,
Closer to you, day by day,
I get in my dream of a nightmare.
Purple teardrops I cry...

Do you think unicorns are monsters?

Hey ME - this is a dark writing of sorts... The "dream of a nightmare" = WOW! But why? Why such a nightmare?

The Following Text Is Quoted:
Closer to you, day by day,
I get in my dream of a nightmare.
Interesting poem -- no doubt -- but just wondering from where comes your inspiration/motivation for writing this poem?

At anyrate - liked the read!
Thanx for sharing it with us

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Dear *Me*,

This was some poem and yes has dark qualities of which are private. Nicely written, and I enjoyed the journey. Thank you for sharing.
