"Pessimistic Promiscuous Hedonistic Villainous Hero."

Within the junky binary spirit experiment,
desire is replete with a fathered malevolence.
Made pure through preparation is
a thriving, unembellished, yet mortal quintessence…

Plunge the needle deep & deplete my heart to your liking--
a dead, dried, & blackened thing sings to the dopamine
trickling down from my skull to & through my feet,
into the mother’s atmosphere we spill,
eating kill pills from my favorite pharmacies…

Listlessly pining for one simple connection through saliva and body fluids,
Come with me, come on me, watch me drown in you…

I tried so hard to die before the morning,
With little demon angels singing on my shoulders,
Driving me forward and downward from the balcony...
Something stopped us...

Could’ve been the fourth floor fact that
at my back
was
a
deranged old witch pushing anti-psychotic candy
into the branches beneath my dying pale attire…
Weaving her web of opiate desires,
whilst pondering the brightness of my elysian fires,
dancing in my eternal self-replicating funeral pyre.
The constant voices wading in my muddy brain mire….
“Does it matter?,”
is the question on the lips of
the fading reflective schizophrenic choir…
Oh, the kiss of lunacy is a storm I suffer and conjure and sire….

We always seem to plummet like dead leaves before the thirst…
As our hollow imprint on the shared confidence of other demonic egos
will leave a catastrophic disarming burn….

A personal black hole of atrophying science sends
the religions of narcissists and murderous devils
underneath the shadows of their righteous self-loving suicidal sin-eaters…
hiding their clandestine skeletons far from the beautiful pain
of absolute, ever-evolving truth--
a saccharine innocent ascendance of the subconscious…

Becoming the ones who really matter,
making life interesting through a haze of
a divine hedonistic sinful decadence
Come orgies of knowledge,
fed through the thick ether of our ignorance,
Filtered pure and drenching everyone together…
all of us shedding the natural repression of living normally,
devouring each other’s skin
while blissfully killing off all government funded oppressive gods
without the burden of a conscience…
in love with our murders…
Worshiping what is actually real…
Living the dream of absolute freedom…
Amen!!!

A most intriguingly abstract work of poetry! The stanza quoted above just flows seemlessly, a lovely rhyme scheme. A lot going on in this piece, you feel as if you could read it everyday and find some new witticism within, a new knowledge espoused, not unlike the "Come orgies of knowledge, fed through the thick ether of our ignorance" in your last stanza.

What a way to introduce your work to the community! Thanks for the share.

Hi David. Amazing piece! I look forward to re-reading several times to enjoy each separate line and thought....if one can "enjoy" it.... maybe I mean more of a disciphering enjoyment.... because I can see this piece meaning many things to many different people. This captures the imagination and meanders through the brain for a bit, then drops into a freefall of new conceptualizations...several times mind you. Love it!!

thank you very much, nomadicrhymer, i am glad someone noticed that i was kind of trying to cram several subjects into my tiny epic. but i wanted them to flow and connect logically too, well as logical as it can be when delving into drug addiction, existential crisis, loss of faith, and renewal of spirit, etc etc... but yeah, ha!! thank you so much for your input, you really made my horrible day much brighter. thanks. cant wait to start reading your stuff too.

Hi David. I do hope your "horrible" day is long past and behind you and that this one is more promising. Never give up on hope. It really helps to write those horrible days down on paper... very cathartic.

Take care I look forward to reading more of your work.

You're welcome David and I agree with Ms Nomad = Hope the horridly dark days are long past. It is indeed a therapy of sorts writing. Has always been therapeudic for me anyway. When the days were too long for spoken words, no hope, confusion, the ostracization and loneliness was too much for contemplation ==> Poetry was there. You could write the demons away.... For free

Anyway - thanks again for the brilliant share. Get a headstart on reading Ms Nomad's work = check out the JPiC Portal, scroll to about mid-page. The "JPiC Forum Has Its Spotlight On [....]" section features her poem "I Feel The Wind" = nice read!
