Default Elegy
An ELEGY is a sad and thoughtful poem lamenting the death of a person and/or youth. An example of this type of poem is Thomas Gray's "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard," as seen below.

Example by Thomas Gray:

excerpt from Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard

The curfew tolls the knell of parting day,
The lowing herd winds slowly o'er the lea,
The ploughman homeward plods his weary way,
And leaves the world to darkness and to me.
