Biography: Jacquii Cooke is a 32 year old Black Poet from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Webmistress of Poetry in Color Forum, she is devoted to the more abstract styles, especially those with a strong feminine voice that center around the topic of redemption and righting the wrongs of past transgressions.

I Cut Off My Hair....
Um - I cut my hair off... I just got tired of doing the chemical treatments... So - I cut all the straight hair away and am growing fresh hair for dreadlocks. The pics I have to share are about 2 weeks old or some such. The 1st 2 haven't even been altered - The rest are artistic expressions -- I look kinda look like a boy with short short short hair LOL - Um.... Yeah - short hair = back to au naturel and this is au naturel as au natural can possibly be:

That's it - btw - I took all the pics myself with my Mama's kodak digital camera - It's quite nice - I love it! I'm not used to breaking the lense though The altered pics are a charcoal "drawing" - a colored ink "drawing" and a black&white sepia toned pose --- Um - the 1st person who makes fun of my fat cheeks or any one of my double chins gets 4 smacks with my electronic ruler
