Howdy hi YAWL.
There's an interesting conversation that went on in the Chatbox recently. I'm a little bit bored at the moment - So I took a screenshot
So this is intriguing to me as apparently my bit of jaded, cynical & facetious response was apparently misinterpreted and/or misunderstood.
As an FYI - This is a not-so-interesting email sent to me by a former JPiC Member. He was not happy with the caliber of work we have shared here within our JPiC database, so upon receiving one of our friendly reminder emails
(we send out the occational email to inactive Members to let them know JPiC still exists...) - he responded with:

I think you have a nice, friendly site. My only problem is that the quality of the writing is for the most part not for me. It seems to me that most of the people who submit their work on your site are young people and, if that is the case, I would suggest that you do something to lift the quality of the work so that these young people don't think that any effusion is quality work. Ars longa vita brevis est.
Sincerely,
David

So - I as JPiC Administrator sort of found this email just a bit disconcerting. I thought it was a cheapshot at JPiC and was a derogatory statement against the very principle of why I created JPiC. So - In kind - I replied promptly with:
Quote:
The purpose of JPiC Forum is not to cowtow to hypocritical and big-head academia and the horridly pompous "writers" that is produced by it. The purpose of JPiC is for the Artiste; To inspire writers to indeed become better in their craft and confident in their appreciation of the artform poetry. I will cordially suggest that you become familiar with the online interactive you register an account at prior to wasting everyone's time. Your degrading commentary is not appreciated here.
I will delete your account.

So - You think you're not "good enough" for JPiC Forum? Oh Pa! Read my statement and understand exactly why JPiC Forum For Writers aka Poetry in Color Forum exists in the first place.
Thank you AND as always = Happy posting!
