"The Tunnel to the Unknown." Novel, Mystery Series. (Part 2).

Author´s Notes: I posted Part 1 a long time ago. Now, I shall continue writing these Mystery Series. This one is Part 2: "The Room in the Tower."
"The View from the Tower" was Part 1. "The Tunnel to the Unknown" is the title of my Novel. I haven´t finished it yet. I am working on it...
Thank you in advance for reading!!

Introduction.
What is it??... Perhaps, an illusion or an illusory state of mind..., an interrogation within oneself, which only leads to doubts and uncertainty, or to acknowledge the way we naively enter or most likely, we are dragged into madness: The tunnel to the unknown.
Perhaps, it might be...the imprisonment in the mind of the inner self, whose feelings of being caught with no more freedom are being transformed into a trap of invigorating madness and dreadful nightmares. In the cases I´ll present, reality and fantasy are not well determined. The labyrinth of the mind´s stage, in which the brain cells play the role of bossy cells, is to set the rules for other body cells to obey. In a nutshell, the brain is the boss in high hierarchy. So, tangled thoughts might be the production and realization of tangled brain cells, in fact, a web of intrigues could be a sort of spiderwebs, but in the stage of real life. Unfortunately, insane brain cellls could only produce insane products and thoughts.
Readers should begin to read between the lines, since I don´t explain things in details.
The tunnel to the unknown -where good and evil walk together, as if they were blind with each other- is mostly a metaphor to describe some people´s state of minds, about what they really think intimately over what they do.
However, people´s hearts are simply naked in front of God´s eyes, who could see the whole picture. He could read one´s mind and see one´s heart. Nothing could escape from God´s Almighty view. To all faithful believers, all these tales or mystery series might be the revelation of the truth, in order to unveil some evil doers.
The readers may stop reading these mystery tales at anytime, if they feel they are too harsh to digest...
"The Room in the Tower." (Part 2).
The writers of murder mysteries convey -in some cases- facts of life in combination with fiction and fantasy, in order to provide the right spicy flavours to the readers.
This tale would be trying to pursue the endless battles between good and evil...
The main evil character would be patiently stalking in the darkness, with only one way drive in his sick mind: his next prey to devour, like a hungry wolf with sharp teeth and ablazed protruding eyes.
His naive victims would all be helpless preys. These horrible evil actions could only be performed by a sick-mind beast and a perfect traitor and coward, whose main drive would be the mutilation of his victims, before their delivery to his higher authorities in the chain rank of scientific fields, in which he would be a part of the main chain of organized crime.
He had so many accomplishers, since he was a powerful medical surgeon and scientist.
His main technique was to earn the confidence and complete trust from his innocent victims, like cheating and lying, a rather common procedure of serial murderers. When he finished off with one victim, he would start all over again with another one from ground zero, and so on...
All these evil dreadful cases were raw material for human experiments, which had always been against the law to perform, but for the underground market in crimes would rather be high profitable issues with cruel practices.
"Meeting the monster..."
The hunch in his back and his huge head perfectly blended with the hills in the background. His strange looks was gruesome... He had protruding eyes and big sharp teeth coming out of his mouth. As he mumbled horrible noises with his ugly voice, one would be able to smell the stenge coming from his bad breath.
Its poisonous odor would have smelt, as if rotten meat from the Comode dragon´s mouth, had been mysteriously placed in there.
The readers should know that, the dragon of Comode Island in the Pacific Ocean, is the most unique, huge ancient reptile and most lethal on Earth. They are considered the largest lizards and endangered species in a way to extinction. Their bites are lethal, since they hold a deadly colony of bacterie in their mouths. They are carnivours, and when they hunt, they will just hurt their preys with a little bite. Then, they will just wait near their prey until it dies minutes later, due to the poison of their saliva. They will slowly devour them, afterwards. These lizards eat all kind of meat, animals and humans as well. There have been many reported cases of missing people in the Comode´s Island.
Doctor Wolfgang Shadow´s presence captivated many of his public audience, and provoked even a rather mystic reverence towards him. He was another psycho, but lose in the streets... At night, the view had turned more dreadful, as there had always been a squad of bats around Dr. Shadow´s presence, out there in the creepy environment. His psychopathetic mystery would only fit in the vastness of the unknown universe.
"The mysterious room..."
The main good character would be patiently investigating, in order to eventually bring all these cases to highlights on the public views in the headlines of newspapers.
Gladys Vernon, a lovely, good charming young woman, was sleeping soundly when she suddenly awoke with a loud shout. Her pretty face and body were drenched by sweat, like cold rain dripping beneath the blankets.
Another dreadful nightmare haunted Gladys´peacefuless dreams... So, new born ideas had begotten...
She rose from bed at once, after saying her Christian morning prayers; she took a quick shower and had a hasty breakfast. Then, she anxiously headed for the little room upstairs in the terrace of the tower building, where hidden files and paper work -revealing corrupted business- had been loaded in shelves between the walls, and also piled up without supervision.
Many undisclosed secrets had been hidden from Gladys, and there would soon be revealed what she had been looking for so long.
Gladys held the key, which was placed in one of the drawers downstairs in the apartment. She rushed into the little mysterious room upstairs in the terrace, and opened the door. She had noticed another door -like a second door- connected with that little room, as if it were a tunnel or a passageway or a deadly trap to many so called unknown plights.
At first glance, Gladys found Ivonne´s old pictures, assorted letters, tapes, heaps of books, files and other belongings. She began to take pictures of the room and all files with her small concealed camera, which was also a computer that was connected directly to the ones who held power in Washington, D.C. She pressed her password number, plus her code as an agent, 117, and the enter key. All the information was already sent to Washington. Unfortunately, those guys never washed their dirty linen on public, and when the agents got on the weeds, they washed their hands ignoring all events. So, International Affairs had always worked that way. The material was written in Spanish, but Gladys spoke many languages, so the language barrier was no problem for her. Anyway, there had not been much advancement in her undercovered private investigation, and no relevant clues found yet to make her feel proud of herself, until a little touch of luck blew up in her mind, like a blast into an outburst of new beginnings. Her heart pounded harder than usual, a blaze of anger embraced her whole being, transforming Gladys into a torch of fire. However, those feelings of frustrations had not been all in vain, since she would put them aside and set her mind to send fears and negative thoughts to oblivion. All little parts of the puzzle would be put together wisely, to blaze a trail to achieve solutions to the problems. Gladys was the one who would orchestrate and organize her own thoughts, and deal with the ordeals.
The premise of her arguments were basically premonitions coming from her mind in the form of prophecies. To her surprise, she found a letter in one of the shelves addressed to Gladys from Dr. Shadows. So, she rushed to open it and began to read the letter...
"Dear Gladys:
You have been my deepest obsession from the very first time I caught a glimpse of your sweet face. I don´t want to hurt you. I would rather help you to achieve your dreams, although our lives may go on separate ways. Remember!! You may not see me, but I´ll be watching you anywhere you may go. You are free now, to do what you want, sweet Gladys. But, you´ll be surprised at what you are about to discover. I know, you are a brave woman. This is the reason why I´ve left this letter here for you with a message, since I knew you would be up in this room looking for something. So, I´ll try to make things easier for you, because you will always be on my mind, sweet Gladys.
Now, go to the end of this room. You´ll see a small wall, so push it inwardly really hard, with all your strength. That wall will lead you to a secret passageway. You are brave, so take a deep breath, go in there and search for some clues for yourself. That wall will only open up and close at my command, and these words will vanish just in front of your eyes, as soon as you finish reading them. A recording of my voice will soon begin to play. Well, good luck, sweet Gladys!! Bye the way, I´ll take care of the animals for you, while you are away. I know, you love them, and I love them too!!
You will also find inside that secret room, a blue box on one of the shelves. So, open it up, and take all that money that I have already left for your coming expenses. Plus, I give you a good advice: Under no circumstances, let them see your face. They will destroy you. They are dangerous people.
Good Luck, and I love you, Gladys!!"
In a matter of just a few seconds, the letter written with invisible ink vanished in front of her eyes. So, her journey to the unknown had begun...
She walked towards the end of the room and faced up that archaeological wall, which would lead the path to another mysterious room or tunnel or secret passageway.
The wall opened up without a single touch, as if someone had been watching Gladys from somewhere else. She slowly began to walk into that passageway.
Gladys trembled, as she walked into the tunnel of the unknown, a strange labyrinth, or a secret passageway, or a chamber of horror. The view was creepy frightening, and the door suddenly closed on her. She was trapped...
It shall continue...
Thank you in advance for reading!!
Cordially,
STARDUST.
