Greeting Card Aspirations Guidelines & Rules

Greeting Card Aspirations

This NEW JPiC section is exclusively for Registered Members. The Greeting Card Aspirations sub-forum is proudly brought to you by JPiC Forum Affiliate site GreetingsGalleryOnline.com. GGO is an e-Card gallery with over 1000 beautifully FREE e-Cards to select from. Membership is now open and 100% FREE - So register today and enjoy our new affiliate website!

Member Altree94 has recently registered and says, "Awesome Gallery! We need some poems!" So that's EXACTLY what this new section is about: collecting poetry AND writing (including quotes, original sayings, short anecdotes, etc...) that will eventually fill the GGO section aptly entitled Words of Wisdom.

In fact, the very 1st GreetingsGalleryOnline.com e-Card has already been selected and added the GGO database. JPiC Member Moonchild has graciously accepted the honor of having her poem Seasons Change made into a "beautifully FREE" e-Card. All future e-Cards will be meticulously displayed with a similar piece-specific, artistic motif:

So if you please - We shall move on to the posting guidelines & rules so that you too can include your OWN writing in this section and eventually be transformed into one of our featured one-of-a-kind e-Cards on GreetingsGalleryOnline.com...

Posting Guidelines & Rules:
  • Only post in this section if you are submitting your writing(s) SPECIFICALLY for GreetingsGalleryOnline.com consideration. One submission per thread please... All other posts will be deleted and/or moved to a more appropriate sub-forum.

  • Poetry and writing considered for this section must be your ORIGINAL work. (Have a favorite quote of someone other than yourself you want considered? Post it in the JPiC Random Quote system.)

  • Submitted poetry should be between four (4) and eight (8) lines ONLY.

  • Any other submitted writing should be kept to 50 words or less. (Any poetry and writing submitted may be part of a larger work - keep in mind the text should fit easily onto an electronic greeting card - so keep it short please...)

  • By submitting your poem and/or writing to this section - You give permission for your work to be used on the GreetingsGalleryOnline.com website. (Of course copyright of the work always remains that of the author and will be noted on the e-Card itself as seen in the example above...)

  • All threads throughout the Forum may be selected for inclusion in GreetingsGalleryOnline.com as well. If this is the case - A Member of the JPiC Moderating Team will notify you of the selection and ask permission for the work to be included in the GreetingsGalleryOnline.com website. A copy of your poem and/or writing will be put into this Greeting Card Aspirations sub-forum.

  • All poetry and writing threads accepted for inclusion will be stamped with a special award graphic to both congratulate the author of the selected work AND to notify all Community Members that the piece has been or will be published on GreetingsGalleryOnline.com - The graphic:

Digg GreetingsGalleryOnline.comIf you like the NEW GreetingsGalleryOnline.com - AND you know you do --- Please take the time to visit Digg.com and vote for us at http://digg.com/people/GreetingsGall...ards_Site/blog

**PLEASE NOTE**
Posting in this section will not guarentee that your writing will be included on the GreetingsGalleryOnline.com website - All final decisions will be made by the JPiC Administrator. If you have any questions, concerns or comments about these guidelines please contact the JPiC Administrator.

Palettes Of Flavour Guidelines & Topic Ideas

Guidelines For Palettes Of Flavour:
In this section you will be allowed to post your favorite recipes for all types of courses, drinks, deserts, etc... The stipulation is you either post a poem, story, or some piece of writing with the recipe. Pictures of the prepared mean will go lovely within this section as well. You know how we ALL love to look at food, I mean McDonald's spends millions and millions of dollars just to show the "perfect" burger for a 30 second commercial slot in which the burger is featured for a maximum of 10 seconds.... So yes - Photographs are definitely welcome whenever you post a recipe and literature combo.

A Few Topic Ideas:
Though truly the Artiste (and we are definitely a talented Group) will most likely come up with distinctly unique ideas for what and how to post in this section, the original poll thread has several really good suggestions submitted by your fellow JPiCans. Below is just a few of those suggestions:
  • Submit your recipe with an epulaeryu, a poetic form specifically about delicious foods.
  • Turn the recipe into a poem (possibly a list poem, haiku, abcedarian, etc...)
  • Write about the culture from which your recipe comes (either poetic form, story and/or essay)
  • Reminisce via scribing about what you ate the night before you wrote your best?
  • Ask/answer poignant questions within your writing like "Do certain foods stimulate poetic energy?"

Those are just a few ideas - But you get the point... So - Bon Appétit - Enjoy AND Happy posting!

The JPiC Moderating Team.

Poetic Type Published Rules & Guidelines

Poetic Type Published

This section of JPiC is exclusively for Registered Members. The Poetic Type Published forum is proudly brought to you by JPiC Forum Affiliate site Poetry-Defined.com. The purpose of the Poetic Type Published is to fill the Poetry-Defined.com with definitive examples of fine poetry as defined in our Types of Poetry section here on JPiC .

In time Poetry-Defined.com --- a one-of-a-kind poetic form database --- will not only be a publishing credit for your portfolio or vitae, but also something that you can proudly say you helped establish.

In given time I anticipate Poetry-Defined to be THE definitive resource on the internet for poetry definitions & examples, as well as an online poetry magazine of sorts. So help out with your beautiful written works!

Jacquii.
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

Poetry Type Published Rules
  • Every three Mondays of each month there will be a Call For Submissions of a given poetry form posted on the JPiC Portal. Emails will be sent to ALL Registered Members with further information about the Call.

  • Each Call will last for a duration of 4 weeks (possibly more depending on the amount of submissions. We would like to get a nice selection of poems before the close of each Call)

  • All submissions should be posted IN THE THREAD with the original Call.

  • At the close of each Call - The JPiC Administrator and/or Moderating Team will select the poem(s) which unequivocally define the given poetic style.

  • Each selected writing(s) will then be published onto Poetry-Defined.com as a definitive example of that specific poetic form, making the JPiC sister-site a TRUE & AWESOME database of poetry for the entire internet Community.

Posting Guidelines
  • Only post in this section if you are submitting writing(s) for Poetry-Defined.com consideration. All other posts will be uncerimoniously removed!

  • Even after the allotted time for any specific Call - If you would like writing(s) considered for publication on the Poetry-Defined.com website - Please send an email to the JPiC Administrator using the Contact Us Form with Poetry-Defined.com Consideration checked.

------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

By submitting your poetry for consideration, you agree to the following:
  • Submitted writing(s) may be used on Poetry-Defined.com for an unspecified amount of time.
  • Submitted writing(s) are your original work and may or may not have been published elsewhere.
  • The copyright always remains that of the author.

**NOTE** All threads and posts in this section are moderated, meaning they will not appear online until Administrator approval. Questions about the Poetic Type Published? Post them HERE OR use the Contact Us form.
