Excerpt from "Petals in the Wind" by Sally Ann Roberts
Petals in the Wind
Where once they bloomed in early rains,
Wild flowers ranged toward the sky.
Such beauty spanned across the plains
Like reaching out to wave good-bye.
Wild flowers ranged toward the sky.
Confetti colors gently blend
Like reaching out to wave good-bye;
Painting beauty to the end.
Confetti colors gently blend,
Floating through where branches bend,
Painting beauty to the end
Are now just petals in the wind.
Floating through where branches bend,
Such beauty spanned across the plains
Are now just petals in the wind
Where once they bloomed in early rains.
