Hello I usually don't write poems, but I've been upset about the political process in America so I wrote a poem as an outlet.

Welcome to JPic!
Read your poem and thought it a great introduction poem because it shows YOU very well.
You know that old adage:
The best way to have a friend is to BE a friend.
That same principal works everywhere.
In all poetry and writing forums it translates to:
The best way to get comments is to give comments.
From what I have seen of your writing skills - I think you could be a valuable addition to the site, if you so choose. If you are looking for in-depth critiques, we have a special forum here just for that! If you simply want to put it out there to share, that's what all of the other forums here are for. If you come up against writer's block - we have a Creativity Challenge section to get you thinking! And if you just want to relax and take a break - that's what the arcade is here for! We have it all and I think you are going to love it!

Dear Daniel,

to the JPiC Writers Forum. I would say that Ms Tree has summed up our Forum beautifully, and will not add anything to what she has stated. However, the intro reads as though, you are only looking to get comments on that ONE poem in particular, and have no interest in being a part of the Community.

If I am wrong, please do let me know. We would love to have you join, and participate. However, if only looking for comments on one poem, (since you state that you usually do not write poetry) may not be the best approach here.

We also have other forums that you could participate in as the Short Stories, Inspiring Novelist Forum, and the Essay Forum to name a few. As previously stated, to get comments, we enjoy the reads of other members work, and comment, then receive comments as well.

I deleted the External Link in your introduction as we like to keep our Threads clean from that. There are appropriate places for the External Links such as the JPiC Forum Toplist and the JPiC Link Directory.

At anyrate - Welcome to the Community. I read that you've only written that one poem? Think you'll write anymore? If yes - then If no - then there are many many really nice writings that our Members have shared! I'm sure you'll enjoy the atmosphere here as well - It's laidback and fun.
