Hi everyone,

Stumbled across this forum while googling, checked it out and liked what I saw.

A little about me;

I'm from the UK and have been writing poetry since school, but only started to write seriously about four years ago.
I tend to stick to free verse, but have been working on a few forms lately .. my main genre is dark and society, but can slip in the odd love poem here and there.

I'm a member of a couple of other poetry sites and I am looking for serious critique to help improve my poetry.

Well I think I'll move on to read some of the other threads here.

Biography: Jacquii Cooke is a 32 year old Black Poet from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Webmistress of Poetry in Color Forum, she is devoted to the more abstract styles, especially those with a strong feminine voice that center around the topic of redemption and righting the wrongs of past transgressions.

lol .. the name comes from an album title by a group called Marillion .. I just like the sound of it and have used it for about 10 years.

Ah! Makes sense now - I actually googled the name 'cause google is my friend... And saw a bit of info on Wikipedia about a punk rock band or some such... Anyway - OKey dokey - Nice to know a little bit about the inspiration... There's actually an interesting thread around here somewhere that asks about Membernames...
