Hello!

My name is Sarah and I'm a poet, short stories, and Novel writer. I adore writing and being able to express myself in different ways through words... I also enjoy painting and drawing as well. I came across this site in the Writer's Digest Magazine and decided to give it a check out, so, here I am.

Biography: Jacquii Cooke is a 32 year old Black Poet from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Webmistress of Poetry in Color Forum, she is devoted to the more abstract styles, especially those with a strong feminine voice that center around the topic of redemption and righting the wrongs of past transgressions.

Hi Sarah! It's good to meet you! I, also, write poems (not so much anymore), short stories (can be entertaining, lol), and am presently writing a novel (emphasis on it being very novel (fantasy)) and have the beginning of another one with a different theme.

It's always such a pleasure to meet our new neighbors in the community. Don't be suprised if you get a knock at the door. It'll be me pretending I need sugar, cup and all, but really wanting a cup of coffee or tea (I'm relatively flexible) and a chat.

So pull your chair closer to the computer, sip your coffee and click on a link. I'm sure you'll find something which will have you thinking, "Why didn't I think of that?", lol.

Well, thank you for the greetings and the hello right back. Wow, that's fantastic, Butchiesmom, that you do and have done poetry, short stories, and are currently writing a Novel. I have one Novel finished that is fantasy and the sequel to that Novel which I'm struggling to finish and is fantasy as well.

Now, I'm not exactly a coffee fan but if you make it right with enough caramel, or flavoring, or whipped cream, and it's like a white chocolate mocha latte now I might just sip on that... but straight out coffee I'm not as big of a fan of that than the nice frilly drinks of this and that and this in it.

Anywho, nice to hear from ya and MsJaquii, I'm glad to hear that you're getting people in from that Writer'sDigest magazine! And congrats to your website for being featured in it!

Welcome to the site, Sarah, glad that you decided to come and join us, you will not be sorry, there is much to enjoy on the site.

And the administrators are great and will help you with any problems. I really enjoyed reading your reply to my poem, it shows that you really took time to read each word.

I am glad that you did. as I said the poem used the Pantoum form which is a traditional form. I happen to like those kinds of forms, and all the others. Of course free verse is great too, I like that because there are no rules to follow. Sometime the traditional forms can be a little more difficult, but it's all to have a good time.

Welcome again, and good luck here on this site, I think you will enjoy yourself.

Good luck in your writing career as well. Nice to have met you...

Oh wow! I'm not sure I know what you mean "featured in it" Are you talking about the print magazine or the website - 101 Markets for Writers?
