Hello everyone new to the community

Just wanted to say hello to all writers out there. I was invited to this community now am part of many. I love to write poetry and have started a book. (if I could ever find the time, may get closer to completing it).
I began writing seriously a little over a year ago. Wrote here and there in high school and through the years...but a friend encouraged me to take my writing more seriously for she thought I was quite good at it.
Well, I still have lots to learn and am thinking of returning to school for some creative writing courses...
I hope one day to be published. I have gotten recognition for my poetry on Poets.com.
When you review me please be honest....

How can I get the little "avatar" boy to move off my page? I mean, he is sort of cute and all, but doesn't really match my style. I like the little icons around here too, they are innovative and fun.
