HI, I"m Barbarea
HI all, I just joined this site today, and so, here's me. I"m fifty one next week, live in the white mountains in New Hampshire, and love to write inspirational poetry to nature photos I take up here. I have no training in writing, so if anyone wants to help me with grammer, spelling, or any of that, please feel free! I am not a "complicated writer" if there is such a term, but I write as a reflection of my thoughts, and my personality, which is pretty simple, So I"ll post a poem in a little bit, thankyuu, and I look forward to reading all of your work,

Don't worry about being "trained" or any such nonsense - poetry is work of the soul, so that's all you need =) And 'simple' will fit right in - sometimes that's the best way to go! I'm sure you'll be right at home in no time, and even more confident in your writing after experiencing for yourself just how wonderful this community is! Can't wait to read your writes!! So many welcomes, thankyou. I"ll tell you this, I like this site already, for one silly reason. I like the dark background on this board to type, since my eyesight isn't what it used to be, if only everyone could do this!!!
I'm posting a poem I have on another site, and it's very simple. I'ts in a contest, but my "competition" are experienced, professional writers, so I don't expect to win, but I really don't care either, I just love to write.
I had to write it to a photo of a young boy, looking out a window, with a very sad, or fearfull look on his face. Not a photo I usually write to, but in time, I"ll hopefully figure out how to put my photos on here with the poems,
so, thankyou all, feel free to critique me, I would love to improve my writing.

Welcome, I just started writing 9 months ago and am still at war with syllable count, stress and meter, therefore I feel thought, intent, and effort are the keys. I hope you win your contest!
