ON A PAPER BOAT
[F]Hi, I am Franco from India,
poetry has been my best companion after my dear wife past away a couple of years back. Many feel that my writes are woeful, but that I leave it to you’ll my friends, I have won a few prizes, during my college time and recently I won the best poem of the year award from the Chennai poets’ circle in India. All this may have encouraged me to pen a few poems but the best of all awards is the critical appreciation I receive from you, there can be no joy more then the knowledge that my poem has been read and understood; not only my poem but me and my mood as a poet.

I sail as a lonely sailor on a fragile paper boat longing to find a few friends who could be sailing on the Vast Ocean of time desperate to find a like minded companion and to be assured that there is some one some where, who knows you and understands you.

Are you the port (my friend) I could anchor my paper boat?
Am I the boat that your port was waiting for? Only Time shall reveal.
