MsJacquiiC and everyone,

thank you for the invite to the site. i'm not sure how i got it, but i'm glad I did. I'm 43, from PA, USA, have a 5 year old daughter, and soon to be divorced...happily. I started writing when I was 12. I am interested in learning new forms and practicing. I am not a poet who can just sit down and jot down material. I guess I'm the type who has to be inspired.

I havent written much new stuff in a good while, especially poetry. I write lyrics as well and have done a few things over the last few months. Anyway, I hope to have fun here. I've been to a few other sites and pardon me for saying so, but they were pretty lame.

I too, used to belong to other poetry sites and you are quite right - they are lame, especially compared to this one!

We have a whole forum of "Poetry Defined"! I have learned so many new forms in the few months that I have been here! If that is what you are into - soon you too will be calling this site "home"!

JPicans are the friendliest bunch of people I have ever met! If you need help with anything, there is always someone around to ask! At the other site I was at - they never even answered their e-mails! The moderators and MsJ are terrific, they are really on the ball when it comes to answering calls for help. I know this from all the stupid questions I had to ask when I was a newbie and even now, too!

So look around, find what you enjoy best and most of all - Just have fun!

At anyrate - Yes - the Moderating Staff on JPiC is AWESOME - Always willing to help out and such... So make yourself comfy @ the computer, have a looksee and familiarize yourself with JPiC THEN Have fun posting in the forums!
