Agony in Self (My Loneliness)

Every night has a midnight like a vampire
Wait
There, it will return again
Life comes back to life
In time
In time
The sun comes around again
Would you care for me, who I am?
I ask the mystical oracle about my life

"You need first only yourself to save your soul
It's up to you
Now bring this to your life
Your fate in the netherworld is yours to control
The choice is yours"

Sometimes I think there is no freedom
Then I look into your eyes and see deep into your soul
And see the beauty
I wonder, mystified

Sometimes I wonder at all I've done
And not done
I just hope I haven't told too many lies
Been too greedy
Too apathetic
Too selfish
Self-agrandizing
Proud
Smug
And dumb

I wonder, mystified
The mirror awaits
The mirror waits
And I am alone, in consternation
... and dismay

How can you save your soul?!!

Dear True,

I was going through your listy of poetry and this one struck me. It is a haunting tale into the world of loneliness. I can almost feel your loneliness and the thoughts that accompany the state. You have an extraordinary gift and I miss your work on the site. I would love for you to come back, reply to your poems, comment on other members' poems, then start posting again. Hope all is well. Take Care.

Kimberly
