Standing numb waiting
for depression's enemy.

The sword, a wound for
pain.
Look through the window.
See love's destroyer?
Hurt.
Black tears.
Ghosts.
Heaven.
Jesus is your father.
Do you see him when
you are alone to the
wall?

Laughter slept with
the orange juice.
I wasn't ready for
morning,
but the sunlight looked
pretty dancing on
the summer water.

Gray moon fading
and breaking.
Rising star.
Fast car bridge
through the open road.
The rest of the world
is blank resting on
insect wings.
