Into These Eyes

My life has always been an open book
To everyone but me
I try to skim the pages
Try to make some sense
Of everything my life’s supposed to be

But the feeling’s always fleeting
And leaves me always wanting more
And my eyes are getting tired of seeing
And I can’t take it any more

When you look into these eyes
Can you see the storm is comin
When you look into these eyes
Can’t you see I’m tired of runnin
Can you see into my soul
Can’t you see I’m getting old
Tell me do you realize…
When you look into these eyes

This one is deep. Full of emotions, pain. I'm glad I am not the only one that feels like that at times. I know, everyone's problems are different, but I still understand where you're coming from. They say you can tell a lot by what someone writes. Tonight I have seen peace, pain and dread in your poems. You're very good with words, writing them down. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your poems

hmmm...I think these are the words that really call out to me here

I try to skim the pages
Try to make some sense
Of everything my life’s supposed to be

probably because "our" life is supposed to be so many different things to many different people...parents, children, friends, spouses...we rip a little piece of our soul out each time trying to what each one expects.
