Kid Blue - - all grown up
He tried to codify his existence, but
it was no use. Once you’d been to hell
and back, what’s the use?
His jaded perception of the world
made him think of what he didn’t have,
which was exactly what he always
got.
He kept creating what he experienced,
his life a loaded gun, aiming it at himself
for far too long.
His birth left an imprint that started his
life as a struggle, so to prove himself he
always looked to others for validation.
He never could grasp the idea that the best
way to love himself was to love others
first.
Nor did he ever master letting in the sun
without keeping out the glare, just like he
never could remember spending moments
like an angel in a barber’s chair.
