Lonesome Moniker

She sits on the hill,
stagnantly in Her place
(bold in utter
defiance – her two best friends…)

She sits beautifully; nappy-
headed & all: Her glory

they looked upon Her joie de vivre
with eyes of a furious
and unkempt emerald,
as if throwing stones of heavy jealousy

at one point
they even called Her
out of all Her names (a
filthy business of the dozens)

She smiles peace (She
in Her own small world)

She steady
smiles nothing but a song,
an ode, a triumphant symphony
of frayed, raucous, yet gloriously
truthful peace…
(Her world not so small
in Her own mind)

see – that’s how a…

that’s how a strong Woman strides,
smiling toothfully upon the valley
of tribulation-shackles:
unkempt
in Her joie de vivre!

She’s at home now, for She
walked with Her home
in Her
nappy soul
from without…

Her name: Sista Soul Journey
(I kinda ‘spect She still
at home…)

Truth as the imperative.
Truth as blood is one shade of ruby.

Jacquii, you surprised me with this one! I have said before, the one characteristic of a master writer (as there are many) is the ability to NOT be predictable. You are amazing master writer! Love it!

Hello JUS & PAINTED - Thank you very much for your kind words... Yes I do indeed tend to be unpredictable at times - especially with my writing - I have so many stories and so many wisdoms to share.... But that's another story entirely LOL -

JUS - I am Tennessee, born and bred... Been hear for 30 years - 31 in September and absolutely love it - So yeah... "Downhome" is my style

Thanx again, for your flattery makes me want to write - Gotta please the fans right LOL - Thanx!

Jacquii.
