Starlight skipped past my window
and I was left in darkness
rainbows shown across the equator
while I endured the rain.

I laid to rest my darling
and I was left in mourning
healing took a long stroll down happier lanes
and I was left in pain.

Summertime came no more to me
I sunk myself in winter
love, lost in cupid’s broken arrow
stagnated in its prison.

Hate so freely prospered
came to me again
we coupled in contentment
blossoming red hot passion
burning, waiting.

Spring bypassed my garden
and I became as barren
but hate my constant partner
conjoins, consoles, conspires
who knows, but I may love again
when he calls.
