I look through your brown eyes,
With your content grin.
Wondering where has this little girl,
With the inquisitive mind had gone.
Yesterday, you were a baby,
Following me wherever I went,
And never wanted to be alone.
But now you have become independent.
You don't cling on me.
Or ask your cute questions.
As I watched you grow,
I still free that you need me.
I would shield you from the pain and drama.
The suffering and hate,
I have experience in this world.
That's if life would let me.
But I understand you need to grow,
And I don't want to be blamed.
For holding you back.
So, I must set you free,
For you to see what life has to offer you.
But in the back of my mind.
You're still the baby who clings to me.

Dear Fabiloa,
such a beautiful reflection of the ltlle girl's evolution into independence. The values installed and the morals placed will carry her for the rest of her life. Awesome!

Dear Fabiola:
This was beautiful. I enjoyed every word and every line!!
I have an 8 yr old daughter, and am not looking forward in seeing grow up and leave home. They grow so fast it seems like we can't keep up with their desires, loves, demands and changes.
