Melange of Disillusionment

Formerly "Disillusioned"

Empty
But not quite
Full
Of what?
Sad
Maybe angry too
At myself
Circumstances
Still exist
To train me up
Scream in my face
Choices
Always
What to do?
No simple solution
Presents itself
Convention rages
In present tense
A love once tasted
Blossoms above
Life
Simple life
Too easy to live
For some
Too hard to give
It up
For others
Who each shall choose.
You lose
Either way you turn
Cannot but burn
One or the other
Who gets to pick?
Do you deserve?
More than another?
Is life then wasted?
Why only one, then
And not two?
Response – ability
Rules again
Lower the volume
On life’s emotions
Do what’s right
Not what you feel like
Your turn will come.

Another intriguing poem MS N - I love this style of writing - It's like seeing a picture show... Actually --- you know the little drawings one can put at the edges within a stack of paper AND then you flip through the script and it's like a little animation?

That's what this style of writing reminds me of - It's novel actually and very well written = I like it! Very nice share = Thanx

Jacquii.

btw - a question: Disillusioned? That's an interesting title.

Thank you kindly, Ms. J! I see you spent your "daylight savings time" more than making up for that "Lost" hour! Busy Bee!

Disillusioned was what I was when I wrote this
- do you not think the title suits the poem?
