You can hear their crying
beyond the wall.
When the child was kidnapped
they were little
if alive today;
would be tall.
Their tears fall from Heaven
tainted memories
trails of blood
(A small child does the best she or he could)
No faces of family
to hear their cries
only the devil's face
as he or she dies.

I like this it reminds me of a poem I wrote about Genocide, it seems like it applies to the same thing...a child dying young and their cries going unheard...Thank you for posting this it sends a very powerful message that everyone should hear

Thank you both first for taking time to read my poem, then commenting. Yes, this poem seems to send a message. We have alot of cases here, and I wanted to write to the children, that I will never have a chance to meet. I wanted to honor them. Thank you for sharing. Take Care.
another poem with a painful subject matter. There are tragedies in this world that little can be done to correct. We can only take lessons. Try harder.
I wonder, does writing poetry help you to deal with these pains? because it helps to make them more understandable? Or is it just an emotional response, you get and by nature want to pay homage to the victims -- and there is no recovery? I mean, does your poetry move you to action? Or is more about an emotional understanding?

Thank you True for taking the time to read and then comment. I believe it is a little of both. That is the beauty of poetry. It is fluid in a sense. Our ink can flow to write about anything, and anything is very broad & abyssal, no matter the subject. Yes, for me poetry is a form of medicine in small doses at times. Can be very powerful. Thank you for such a wonderful comment. Take Care True

This is the saddest end I can envision for anyone....more horrifying for a child.
For me, True...when writing about subjects like this, it's not so much about the cathartic feeling for myself as much as spreading the awareness of the problem...and yes, it does spur me to action...even if only in the form of donations to children's charities that specialize in those troubled areas...
