My world turns at the beat of a heart
my light follows light
but stops short and below the surface,

the only temptation in my lonely world
is every breath she breaths
the only wish for one simultaneous and then my world would become we

my lonely world is sustained on life
but my world makes me think why has it been so long since the plants were green,
the only thing that blooms here is my own misery.

Dear Erik,

This poem is very sad...yet in contrast there is hope.... It reads like many diaries as well may be feeling the same. What I loved is the contrast..meaning...your world was once green, and once blooming. That leads me to think that once again in time, the plants will be green again, and flowers will color and fragrant your world again. Thank you Erik, for yet again showing us another side of your poetic angle.

"A Lonely World" is a good title, which caught my attention, so that I wanted to read it.
